Corporate History Exhibit

The Durham-based arm of the Japanese Mitsubishi conglomerate asked to turn the lobby into an exhibit about the company and its far reaching array of products and services. Note the juxtaposition of big and little where the visitor sees an IC chip made there as a huge wall mounted structure. The microscope nearby allows the visitor to see the tiny wiring of the actual chip. The use of brushed metal walls emphasizes the technical nature of the enterprise.

The due date for this project was very short so I asked and was given an office in the plant in order to become fully immerced into Japanese corporate culture during the design phase.
